Hello to all of you! I have recently decided that this blog won't be just about myself and my outfits. I came to this for many reasons. First, I unfortunately haven't enough time (and neither has my bf XD) to take photos everyday because of work and class, and mostly because there are a lot of things I want to tell you about and those, are not always related to my outfit. Said so I can begin this post with this new idea I came up with some days ago...
Ciao a tutti ragazzi! Ho deciso in questi giorni che questo blog non tratterà solo dei miei outfit e sono giunta a questa conclusione per diverse ragioni. Prima di tutto lavorando e seguendo un corso non riesco sempre a trovare il tempo (e nemmeno il mio ragazzo XD) per fare foto. In secondo luogo e principalmente perchè ci sono un sacco di cose di cui vi voglio parlare e che spesso non hanno niente a che fare con con il look che vi mostro. Detto ciò posso iniziare il post con questa nuova idea che mi è venuta qualche giorno fa...=)
When it comes to acessories my favourite ones are without any doubts necklaces and bags. They have the incredible power to enrich the simplest outfit and make it look great. I wanna start from here to tell you something about the brands that I like the most, and doing so I don't wanna just upload some photos of the collections, but I wanna tell you something about it, its history, the creative directors and their visions. I'm a very curios person and I like to know what's behind a creation. This happens to me when it comes to art and music as well; You can like something at first sight, but knowing more about why this particular thing is the way it is makes you appreciate it even more.
Quando si parla di accessori per me i migliori in assoluto sono senza dubbio borse e collane. Hanno l'incredibile potere di arricchire il più semplice degli outfit rendendolo grandioso. Da qui voglio cominciare a parlarvi dei miei brand preferiti e facendo questo non voglio semplicemente mostrarvi foto delle collezioni, ma mi piacerebbe parlarvi della loro storia, dei direttori creativi che ci sono dietro e delle loro visioni. Sono per natura una persona molto curiosa e mi piace sapere cosa c'è dietro una idea o una creazione. Questo mi capita anche con l'arte e la musica. Puoi innamorarti di qualcosa a prima vista ma sono dell'idea che conoscendo cosa c'è dietro si possono apprezzare determinate cose molto di più.
The post of today is about the French brand Céline, which for me is synonimous of elegance and minimalism. The curios facts about this brand is that it was born in Paris in 1946 with the owner Céline Vipiana as a made to measure shoes shop for children. It was just 20 years later during the 60' that the brand started to create his first collection of accessories and bags. His style has always been refined and sophisticated and when Vipiana died in 1997, Michael Kors lead the brand as the first directive creator for seven years (2004), remaining faithful to the line of the previous founder and maintaining its worldwide success. The years in betwenn 2004 and 2008 have not been very positive until the apparition of Phoebe Philo (who worked for Chloè as well) as a new creative director of the brand. Her vision is still very simple and minimalistic with a touch of futuristic ideas.
Il post di oggi riguarda la firma francese Céline che per me è da sempre sinonimo di eleganza e minimalismo. La cosa curiosa di questo marchio è que naque a Parigi nel 1946 sotto la guida di Céline Vipiana come un negozio di scarpe per bambini. Fu solo 20 anni dopo negli anni 60 che il marchio cominciò a creare la sua linea di accessori e borse. Lo stile della casa francese è sempre stato sofisticato e raffinato e quando Vipiana morì nel 1997 fu Michael Kors ad assumere il timone dell'impresa per sette anni (fino al 2004) come primo direttore creativo, rimanendo fedele alla fondatrice e mantenendo il suo successo mondiale. Gli anni tra il 2004 e il 2008 furono abbastanza deludenti fino all'apparizione della britannica Phoebe Philo (Chloè) come nuovo direttore creativo del marchio. La sua visione è ancora semplice e minimalista, ma con un tocco futuristico.
